Currently, meat industry/sector is accused to illegal practices that involves replacement of meat ingredients with other animal species. Meat products are commonly modified during processing, and the cases have been rampant in certain part of the world. Many consumers are concerned about the meat they eat and accurate labelling is important to inform consumer choice.

We offer authentication using RT PCR approach from raw as well as processed meat and meat products. Various products are authenticated using the specific mitochondrial DNA markers that are specific to different species. These specific markers provide us a qualitative authentication for the raw and processed meat and meat products.
