Dr. Kuncham Ramprasad

Founder, CEO

Dr. Ramprasad is one of India’s leading, renowned genomics experts. He holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), MSc from Bangalore University (BU), and MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU). He has several peer-reviewed international scientific publications to his credit.

He has over 16 years of experience in the areas of DNA sequencing, DNA Synthesis, DNA barcoding, Gene expression, Genotyping, Fragment Analysis, Food genomics and has been associated with multinational companies like Eurofins, Syngene International, Ocimum Bio solutions, and MWG Biotech.

His persistent efforts enabled launching of several methods in genomics, to review market demand for new Products/New Services/development of new business verticals, and chartered the path for development/tech transfer, verifications/validations, and commercial launches.

Dr. Ramprasad’s in-depth industry experience and scientific knowledge has enabled Barcode Biosciences to pioneer genomics services in India. He heads the company’s operations in the position of a CEO, responsible for leading entire Barcode Biosciences Group, creating strategies for growth through collaborations, partnerships. He is a visionary biotech scientist with a goal to establish the company’s presence across the globe with a large portfolio of genomic services and products.

Mr. Surendra Gelli

Director, CFO

Mr. Surendra Gelli holds a Master’s degree from University of Abertay Dundee, UK. He has over 10 years of experience in the Life sciences industry.

Currently, Mr. Surendra heads the Finance division in the capacity of a CFO, responsible for financial planning, compliances, and overall performance. Mr. Surendra also manages the Marketing and Sales portfolio in the position of a Director, responsible for business development, creating marketing strategies for market penetration, charting the business growth prospects, development of marketing and sales functions.

Mr. Surendra has been the torch bearer of Barcode Biosciences, responsible to establish the network of dealers and clients across the country with the zeal to create maximum scientific impact through superior quality genomic services, globally.

Dr. Mausumee Mohanty

Head of Operations - Genomics

Dr Mausumee holds a Ph.D. in biotechnology from the reputed Utkal University, Odisha, with an illustrious professional experience of more than a decade in the field of molecular biology and genomics.

Dr. Mausumee has more than 10 international publications of peer-reviewed journals to her credit, with a cumulative impact factor of 18.5. She also has an approved patent to her credit (application no: 343/KOL/2013).

Dr.Mausumee’s experience spans across many DST and DBT funded projects in various institutes, including, ICAR and CSIR, and with multinational companies like Eurofins, Chromous Biotech.

Dr. Mausumee has been recognised with the coveted “DST Women Scientist Award”, in 2015.

Dr. Mausumee currently heads the Genomics R&D operations at Barcode Biosciences, focussing on planning and conducting day-to-day research activities, resolving procedural/ logistical problems as appropriate to the timely completion of research objectives. She’s also involved in organising various tests & inspections to ensure that products developed are in compliance with pre-set technical specifications.

CA. Venkata Reddy

Head of Finance & Accounts

Mr. Venkata Reddy is a Chartered Accountant registered with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), and holds a Bachelor Degree of Commerce from Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi.

Mr. Venkata Reddy has over four years of professional qualification experience in managing finance and accounting operations of reputed companies. He has expertise in preparing budget & forecasts, performing monthly closings, and conducting cash flow analysis.

Mr.Venkata Reddy Heads the Finance & Accounts operations at Barcode Biosciences. He is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, cash-flow analysis, implementing internal controls at organisation level, and creating policies, procedures at department levels. In addition, he also is responsible for the review of financial statements to management, investors and other stakeholders.

Mr. Venkata Reddy’s diligence and acumen has added tremendous value to the organisation, resulting in positive cash flows and increased operational efficiency.

Mr. Koteswara Rao G

Manager-Quality and Supply Chain Management

Mr. Koteswara Rao holds a Master’s degree from the Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He is a certified lead auditor for “ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices-Quality Management Systems-Requirements for regulatory purposes”.

Mr. Koteswara Rao has over 8 years of professional experience spanning across Clinical Labs, Contract Research Organisations (pharma) and Genomic synthesis Organisations. His previous professional stints, includes good positions at leading corporates such as Syngene International Limited and Eurofins.

Currently, Mr. Koteswara Rao leads the quality and supply chain Management operations at Barcode Biosciences working with different teams for strengthening the GxP in compliance with applicable ISO standards/Regulatory/Statutory requirements through planning, designing, implementing, documenting, and training respective employees. He has streamlined the entire process of supply chain by introducing systems and processes, resulting in efficient inventory management, and quick turnaround time, creating client delight.

Mr. Prasanth T

Manager – DNA sequencing Laboratory

Mr. Prasanth holds a Masters degree in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

Mr. Prashanth has vast experience spanning 15 years in Genomics research and services at Chromous Biotech, in their Sanger Sequencing facility.

Currently, Mr. Prashanth’s Manages the DNA Sequencing laboratory where his contribution has been significant in the areas of Sanger Sequencing, Microbial identification, DNA Barcoding, GMO analysis, DNA authenticity and various other molecular Biology techniques, resulting in many client success stories.
